The Shaler Area boys track and field team comes out on top scoring 95 to 55 against Pine-Richland. Among those 1st place finishes, the boys 4 x 800 team came out in the first event to take the lead. Jack Keenan, Andrew Dadowski, Tyler Paszkowski, Dalton Kalbaugh, Noah Paszkowski, Cam Mbalo, and Brandon Walsh all came out with at least one 1st place finish. Out of those athletes, 4 set personal outdoor bests. Cam Mbalo went 45′ 0″ in the triple jump which is 2.5″ away from the all-time Shaler Area school record.
In the tri-meet, the Titan’s plan was to take advantage of what they were able to do and score as many points as possible. The pieces fell together and a lot of athletes stepped up to help the team but, Seneca Valley was heavily packed with a competitive group of distance runner. In the field the Shaler shot put throwers took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place against Seneca Valley and 1st and 2nd in the discus. The field did not allow for enough points to win. The Titans were out scored 101 to 49.
